from €59.00

From our series "the cars that never were" - the Porsche 924 GTR "Straßenversion". Born from Porsche’s ambition to dominate endurance racing in the early 1980s, the 924 Carrera GTR stands as one of the brands most underrated creations. Evolved from the humble 924 road car, the GTR transformed the platform into a purebred racing machine. Only 17 were ever built, each hand-assembled and race-ready straight from the factory. In 1980, the 924 GTR stunned the motorsport world when three examples finished the 24 Hours of Le Mans and even won the 1982 race in it’s class on street slick tires, proving that Porsche’s smallest engine could still deliver giant-killing performance. Today, the 924 Carrera GTR embodies the spirit of innovation, precision, and quiet rebellion. A rare icon that turned Porsche’s entry level coupe into a legend of speed and endurance.

For our project we embark on an imaginary journey - fascinated by the car, Swiss privateer Walter Brun commissions a one-off production at Porsche with more integrated fenders and club sport package, fully homologated for the street. Finished in the legendary “Jägermeister” livery, the car is specced comparable to a modern GTR car for the road. A truly one-off creation which never happened, given that this car would have been overshadowing even the 911 Turbo of its days in performance. With our version we imagined what could have been and pay homage to a very underrated and lesser known Porsche racecar.

This is a limited artwork: 1 out of 100 - every piece is printed on 250g fine art paper, numbered and signed by the artist.

Sizes: 50 x 70 cm / 61 × 91 cm

Certificate of authenticity included.
